Frequently Asked Questions
Do acupuncture needles hurt?
The needles used are extremely fine, and in most cases, their application is painless or mildly uncomfortable. Some people report a slight sensation of warmth, heaviness, or tingling—normal signs of stimulation.
How many sessions are needed to see results?
It depends on the condition being treated, its chronicity, and individual response. In acute cases, improvements may appear after just 1 to 3 sessions. For more prolonged conditions, an initial plan of 4 to 6 sessions is recommended, with ongoing reassessment.
Does Chinese Medicine only treat pain and insomnia?
No. Although pain and insomnia are areas of excellence, Chinese Medicine intervenes in various conditions: digestive, respiratory, gynecological, emotional, metabolic, among others—always in an individualized and integrative manner.
Yes. Chinese medicine can be used as a complement to conventional medicine, without interfering with medication. It's important to inform your doctor about all ongoing treatments during the first consultation.
Can I have acupuncture even if I'm taking medication?
Is Chinese Medicine safe?
When practiced by qualified professionals and with an appropriate diagnosis, Chinese Medicine is safe and has a very low risk of adverse effects. All materials are sterilized and disposable.
Are there any side effects?
These are rare. They may include slight pain at the needle injection site, small bruises, or drowsiness. They are temporary and a sign of the body's response.
Can pregnant women take Chinese Medicine?
Yes, with specialized monitoring and the application of safe techniques and points for pregnancy. It can be very helpful for nausea, anxiety, lower back pain, and preparation for childbirth.
How do home consultations work?
Appointments are scheduled in advance, taking into account distance and availability. I bring all the necessary equipment to provide the same thoroughness and comfort as a clinic.
What payment methods are available?
At Clínica Naturalmed, payment can be made by ATM, cash, MBWay, or bank transfer.
For home visits, payment can be made by cash, MBWay, or bank transfer.
For appointments abroad, the terms and conditions are adjusted through an agreement with the partner facility.
Is any care needed after the consultation?
Normal life.
In cases where relaxation is promoted, the body requires less intense exertion in the following hours, but rest is not necessary. The body continues to respond to the therapeutic stimulus for several hours or days.
